INTRODUCTION:
I have dedicated this
website to the standardbred breed as I am the proud owner of two of these beautiful creatures. On this site you will find
information about the standardbred, such as the breed’s history the difference between a trotter and pacer, how to de-code
an Australian and New Zealand freeze brand. Also you will find photo's of both my horses and horses
belonging to other people. For a long time now standardbreds have been criticized about the way they look and move with
not many people wanting to own one due to their lack of being a nice riding horse. But standardbreds are coming a long way
now they are being recognized in show rings and they don't look as bad as they used to and some are very nice to ride, and
most standardbreds are still cheap to buy and with training they can become great all rounders. A lot of people think
that standardbreds can't canter, gallop or jump but just like every other horse they can and if you go out to pony clubs and
shows you will see the odd standardbred competing in dressage, ODE's or other events
